The important tips when custom sports wear for your team

Nowadays, custom sports uniforms have become a very popular item for enticing new clients and improving service to the existing customers. Many business owners focus on gifting their existing and prospective customers with customized sports uniforms. As providers of uniforms to various sports teams, you need to know the right manufacturers. If you can provide the sports uniforms to the different sports team, maintaining a good quality and reasonable price, then you will be rated as the most preferred supplier of sports uniforms.
There are many online manufacturers in today's market who offer you a widespread of choice in sports uniforms. Whether the demand for sports jerseys and kits is for high school kids or professional league players, you can keep the customers happy with customized sports gear. The most cost-effective way to customize the sports uniforms is through silk printing or screen printing. However, if the customers are professional players, then they will not hesitate to shell out a little more cash and choose the modernized method of customization, sublimation. In both the methods, you can add logo of the team, desired color, design, name, and number. You can put on your creative hat and make some unique designs as well. These are very much appealing to the new teams.
You can take help of online screen printing design studios, to upload an image or logo. You can go for any fabric, but as the various sports involve a lot of physical activity, it is better to go for loose fitting shirts. In games like basketball, rugby or football, where there is lot of tugging and pushing involved, a tight fitting shirt can result in wear and tear.
Once you are satisfied with the services and authenticity of the companies, make a list of three to four manufacturers. You can contact them about the price quotes and discounts. You also need to know about the delivery details. Once you are satisfied with all the terms and conditions, you can make them your regular supplier. Make sure to maintain the quality of the sports uniforms and offer your customers at a competitive price. Your business will soar up soon.

NFL taking closer look at Los Angeles relocation fees

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- There are many moving parts to the potential relocation of the St. Louis Rams, Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers to Los Angeles. But one that the league is beginning to examine is what the cost of moving will be for the teams that get the green light to go.
Relocation fees figure to be a big part of the equation, and though they won't likely be enough to prevent anyone from moving, the potential cost of a relocation could give some pause, especially if that tag reaches the exorbitant prices some are projecting.
Speaking at last week's NFL spring owners meetings, NFL executive Eric Grubman said the league has hired an outside consulting firm to help determine just what that cost will be.
“We’ve engaged an outside firm to help us look at various ways to analyze it,” Grubman said. “That’s not to say that our finance staff is not capable of doing any of the analysis, but sometimes it’s good to have an independent mind take a look at it. And so we’ve engaged a firm to help us and the committee do that."
There has been plenty of speculation that getting the opportunity to move to Los Angeles will lead to record-breaking fees. The theory being that the chance to move into a market the size of Los Angeles will automatically increase the value of the franchise, and for the other owners to surrender what's been a well-leveraged market like Los Angeles, it will be costly.
Some believe that for Stan Kroenke to relocate the Rams, the number could be as high as $500 million, with the Raiders and Chargers having to pay the same amount, only split between the two of them.
While Kroenke could easily afford such a fee, if it rose to that level, it could be something he has to consider knowing it would affect how quickly he'd be able to realize the new value of the club after a move and investing heavily in his own project in Inglewood. And he'd have to weigh that against a potential deal for a stadium in St. Louis that would undoubtedly come at a much cheaper price.
For now, there's no guarantee of what that final fee will be, but the league has at least begun preliminary work on it.
"We are not very far along in that," Grubman said. "They are just sort of designing the analysis, and we’re debating the different ways it can be looked at, and the different time frames it can be looked at. My best guess is that a relocation fee wouldn’t be defined until well toward the end of the process.”
When we'll reach the end of the process also remains up in the air. The league didn't officially move or condense the timeline to file for relocation in San Francisco, but it has made it clear that such a decision will probably be forthcoming in the late summer or early fall.
One thing we do know for sure, though, is that any team filing for relocation will know exactly what the cost is to relocate before filing to do so.
“Anybody’s who’s getting into it or asking for a vote would be understanding of what it is,” Grubman said.
Which means the league will determine that number before it opens the window to file.

Larry Scott addresses Pac-12 officiating, freshman ineligibility and more at spring meetings

PHOENIX -- Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott was working his way through a fairly predictable informal news conference when he decided to wake up and ruffle the feathers of the gathered reporters.
The subject was the proliferation of football players taking advantage of the graduate transfer rule, which provides freedom to players who have attained an undergraduate degree to transfer wherever they like for a final year of eligibility. A couple of notable Pac-12 examples of the rule being used this year are Eastern Washington quarterback Vernon Adams transferring to Oregon and California defensive end Brennan Scarlett transferring to Stanford, only the Bears cross-Bay rival.
"It sounded great in theory. ... but I think we still have to look at some of the data," Scott said. "I think we need to look more carefully into these graduate transfers that aren't actually getting a graduate degree. There is not much success rate. It's raising questions."
Scott was speaking for some coaches who were unhappy with how they felt the rule was being exploited. Reporters, taking the side of the athletes, couldn't believe a football player who'd actually earned his degree should be restricted in any way.
The ensuing eruption of harrumphs -- sincere yet quasi-comic in their unanimity -- ended up as the dramatic and emotional high point of Scott's session. While Big 12 coaches and athletic directors were debating the merits of a conference championship game after getting left out of the inaugural College Football Playoff, the Pac-12 meetings didn't produce much controversy or previously unreported news.
Said Scott, "We don't have a lot of news coming out of here."
That didn't mean there weren't any interesting topics.
Most important for the football coaches was the introduction of new, full-time director of officiating David Coleman, who was hired away from the NFL. The conference's previous coordinator of officiating, Tony Corrente, who had a less-than-congenial exit last October, didn't hold a full-time position.
Scott, however, hastened to add that he believes criticism of Pac-12 officiating is overblown and has become mostly a (mis)perception issue due to a few high-profile mistakes.
"I definitely think there was a big perception gap between what gets reported and the reality," he said, adding that conference officials have rated "on par and in many respects better than our peer conferences" in their evaluations.
Other issues of note that Scott covered.
  • Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany recently re-broached the topic of freshman ineligibility. The idea has little to no traction in the Pac-12. Said Scott, "We have not gotten positive reaction in our conference to the idea of freshman ineligibility."
  • While the upcoming move to cost of attendance scholarships has some athletic directors concerned about costs, it's not a major worry, even the notion that some schools might try to game the system to offer up more appealing packages to recruits, something that has coming up among SEC administrators. Said Scott, "We don't share that concern in our conference. There really is no worry amongst our schools that the financial aid office, in determining cost of attendance for all students, is going to take into consideration the desires or wants of a football coach or an athletics department."
  • In terms of a potential early signing period, Scott supports a compromise idea, adding a December date but not one in August, as proposed by others, when a player's senior year performance -- on field and in the classroom -- would not be even half complete. Said Scott, "We've got schools for whom your grades and your first semester of your senior year matter, whether you're going to get in or not."
  • While coaches' participation in satellite football camps is not controversial in the Pac-12, Scott did mention an alternative idea of regional combines. He said, "We did some brainstorming and we're going to try and advance a discussion about going back to collegiate combines, a series of regional combines, as a possible way to alleviate some of the concerns that exist nationally."
  • There also has been some discussion of holding a bowl game in Australia against a Mountain West team as early as 2016, though considerable questions remain on the complicated logistics of putting the game together.
As for the health of the conference longterm, Scott continues to be optimistic, despite the Big Ten and SEC being poised to eclipse the Pac-12 in terms of overall revenue, at least in the near-term. Scott did acknowledge a "fear of the unknown."
"The worry is five years from now, 10 years from now, will there be a significant gap?" Scott said. "We don't believe there will be. In some respects, we're in a uniquely good situation in that we own control and we're going to have a lot of options in terms of what we can do with that down the road. I feel very comfortable with where we are."
That was the theme, from Scott, from the Pac-12 coaches and from the athletic directors.
Said Stanford coach David Shaw as he headed to the airport, "I think all of us have a pretty good idea of where we are right now. We're in a good place right now."

Battle of strengths: Florida State-Louisville

MCT via Getty ImagesFlorida State quarterback Jameis Winston will face a tough Louisville defense Thursday night on ESPN
Jameis Winston is 20-0 as a starter and the driving force behind Florida State’s ACC- and school-record 23-game win streak. Last season, Winston became the third starting quarterback since 1950 to go undefeated, win a national championship and take home the Heisman Trophy in the same season. His efficiency, especially when under pressure, had a lot to do with that success.

But Winston has never faced a pass defense like Louisville’s. Every opponent he faced last season finished the season outside the top 25 in defensive efficiency on passing plays and this season every opponent he has faced is currently ranked outside the top 40.

Louisville, on the other hand, leads the nation in that stat, adding about 13 points per game to its net scoring margin as a result of its defense on passing plays. The Cardinals have allowed the lowest Total QBR in the nation and only NC State’s Jacoby Brissett has posted a raw QBR above 25 against them (0-100 scale, 50 is average).

When Winston matches up with Louisville’s defense Thursday night on ESPN, it will be strength versus strength, and one of the two will have to give. Will it be the reigning Heisman winner or the nation’s best defense in terms of Total QBR?

To help answer that question, we break down the areas in which Winston excels and how Louisville’s defense matches up.

Third Down
Winston has converted a first down on 53 percent of his third-down passing plays in his career, on pace to be the best for any FBS quarterback in the last 10 seasons (min. 10 games started). His career third-down Total QBR (96) is the highest for any active player and second to only Johnny Manziel’s.

Louisville is allowing the second-lowest third-down conversion percentage in the FBS at 24 percent. The Cardinals have an FBS-high seven interceptions on third down, which is more than 57 FBS teams have on all downs combined.

One player Winston might want to stay away from is Louisville safety Gerod Holliman, who has four interceptions and one forced fumble on third down. Holliman and Ole Miss’Senquez Golson lead the FBS in third-down interceptions.

Downfield
Winston can make all the throws. He has completed 51 percent of his passes thrown 15 yards or more downfield during his career, best for an ACC quarterback with at least 50 attempts since the start of the 2012 season (first year we have air yard data). Winston has the most touchdowns (22) and completions (86) for any player in the ACC since the start of last season on such throws.

One problem is that Winston has a history of turning the ball over when passing downfield. Since the start of last season, the only Power 5 player with more interceptions on passes thrown 15 yards or longer than Winston is Washington State’s Connor Halliday.

That could be bad news against a Louisville defense that is tied with Ole Miss for the most interceptions among Power 5 schools on passes thrown 15 yards or more from the line of scrimmage with 10.

Blitz
Since the start of the 2013 season, Winston has thrown a Power 5-high 26 touchdowns against five or more pass rushers. Winston has been even better against the blitz in his last two games, completing 19-of-22 passes with five touchdowns and no interceptions.

Louisville has not blitzed often under first-year defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. They have sent five or more pass rushers on 21 percent of opponent dropbacks, six percentage points lower than the average for a Power 5 defense.

When they do blitz, the Cardinals have been successful, allowing 3.4 yards per dropback, seventh-best among Power 5 schools and two yards better than the Power 5 average.

MNF Preview: Redskins-Cowboys

AP Photo/Alex Brandon
The Cowboys and Redskins meet on Monday Night Football for the 16th time
The Washington Redskins (2-5) and Dallas Cowboys (6-1) meet on Monday Night Football for the 16th time. Only the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos (17 meetings) have been more frequent Monday Night opponents.

Dallas leads the MNF series 8-7.

Here are the top stats to know heading into the NFC East matchup.

DeMarco Murray
Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has the NFL record for the most 100-yard rushing games to start a season with seven. Murray's seven 100-yard games are tied for fifth-most in a single season in Cowboys history. The team record is 11, set by Emmitt Smith in 1995. The Cowboys won the Super Bowl that year.

Murray and Smith are the only players in Cowboys history with 900 rushing yards over any seven-game span. Smith had 949 over seven games spanning the 1993-94 seasons.

At his current rate of 26.7 rushes per game, Murray would set an NFL record with 427 rushes for the season. The current record holder is Larry Johnson with 416 for the 2006 Chiefs.

The increased workload helped the Cowboys rack up 423 yards of offense in a Week 7 win over the Giants, marking their fourth consecutive game with at least 400 yards.

Tony Romo
Tony Romo has thrown a touchdown pass in 35 straight games. If he throws one against the Redskins, he would tie Brett Favre for the fifth-longest streak in NFL history.

Romo has been the best quarterback in the NFL after halftime this season, leading the league in Total QBR (96) and yards per attempt (10.1) entering Week 8. Romo’s completion percentage (71 percent) and eight touchdowns after halftime rank second in the NFL.

With a win, Romo can get to 70 as a starter in his career. The only two Cowboys quarterbacks who have hit that threshold are Troy Aikman (94) and Roger Staubach (85).

Colt McCoy
Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy will make his first start since Week 14 of 2011. Among active quarterbacks, only Blaine Gabbert and Brandon Weeden have worse records as a starter.

McCoy will be asked to lead a Redskins team that has not won against an NFC East opponent since knocking off the Cowboys in Week 17 of 2012. The eight-game losing streak within the division is the longest active streak in the NFL.

Moving the football has not been a problem for the Redskins. They entered Week 8 averaging 6.2 yards per play, the second-best average in the NFL. However, their 15 turnovers were tied with the Jaguars for most in the NFL entering this week.

Defense, schedule cause Seattle's decline

AP Photo/L.G. Patterson
Seattle’s Richard Sherman after the Seahawks' loss to St. Louis on Sunday.
After opening the season No. 1 in the weekly ESPN.com NFL Power Rankings, the Seahawkshave dipped to 11th following back-to-back losses. It’s the first time the Seahawks have been outside the Top 10 since Week 14 of 2012.

Seattle’s defense has taken a step back from last season’s dominating performance, but can it bounce back?

The decline
Last season, the Seahawks allowed the fewest points and fewest yards in the league, and they also forced the most turnovers. They were the first team to do that since the 1985 Bears.

This season, the Seahawks' defense ranks 19th in points per game and ninth in yards per game, while forcing the fourth-fewest turnovers.

Diving deeper, the Seahawks' defensive efficiency has taken a major hit. Expected points added (EPA) is a measure of the impact every play has on a team’s potential points, factoring in down, distance, field position, game clock and other situational factors.

The Seahawks' defense added 7.2 expected points per game last season to the team's potential scoring, best in the NFL. This season, the Seahawks' defense has cost the team 4.7 points expected points per game, 23rd in the league -- all while the offense has performed better, contributing three more expected points per game.

The problems
The Seahawks' defensive problems start up front. Although their rush defense has improved, ranking second in yards per rush allowed, the front line has not been able to pressure the quarterback.

Last season, the Seahawks had the top pass rush in the NFL, generating pressure on a league-best 34 percent of dropbacks. This season that pressure percentage has been cut in half, leading to a league-worst rating.

The Seahawks lost defensive linemen Chris Clemons, Red Bryant and Clinton McDonald in the offseason, breaking up one of the deeper defensive line rotations in the NFL.

The Seahawks had six defensive linemen playing at least half of the team’s defensive snaps in 2013, with none playing more than 57 percent of the snaps. This season only three linemen are playing half the snaps, and Michael Bennett (80 percent) and Cliff Avril (60 percent) have gotten the lion’s share.

Without good pressure, the secondary has struggled to create turnovers.

The Seahawks have two interceptions in six games this season. Last season, the Seahawks had multiple interceptions in 10 different games, leading to a league-best 28 interceptions overall.

The schedule’s impact

In defense of the defense, the Seahawks have played the season's second-hardest schedule, which has included the top four quarterbacks in the league, according to Total QBR.

Still, even the lower-ranked quarterbacks found success against Seattle. Kirk Cousins has thrown an interception in all but two games this season (Jaguars and Seahawks), and Austin Davis (along with punter Johnny Hekker) completed the highest percentage of passes (86.4 percent) against any Seahawks defense ever.

TOP 10 KITS OF THE 2014 WORLD CUP

ALOUGH 2014 WORLD CUP HAS PASTED SEVERAL MONTHS,BUT THERE'S BEEN SOME GORGEOUS LOOKING CLOBBER IN BRAZIL THIS SUMMER,SO WE'VE STUCK OUR NECK ON THE LINE AND LISTED OUR FAVOURITE WORLD CUP Soccer SHIRTS IN ORDER FROM TEN TO ONE.

What started as a friendly office debate turned into a long and heated dispute until we finally agreed (sort of) on our top ten 2014 World Cup shirts. Some shirts, including the away strips of England, Italy and Portugal didn't even make it on pitch in Brazil, but from the kits that did grace the turf here's our top ten.

Some description

10 | Portugal Home - With Portugal being dumped out of the group stage we missed out on seeing their slick away kit but what we did see however was their two-toned home kit. The light and dark red stripes combined to create a kit busy enough to look interesting without being over the top. 5/10

Some description

9 | Argentina Home - The famous blue and white Argentina shirts bring back memories for everyone. The iconic design needed little change to keep it original and adidas added a print across the front of the chest to mimic the national flag waving in the wind. Solid design. 6/10

Some description

8 | Germany Away - Yeah, it may be borderline rugby but there's something about those chunky red and black horizontal stripes that works. Topped off with a two-buttoned grandad collar and all white crest and adidas badge it's one of our favourite away kits on show. We wouldn't bet against there being more stars than stripes on the next Germany away kit. 6/10

Some description

7 | Holland Home - The Holland home shirt is one of the most instantly recognisable kits in the world and swamps stadiums. Large old-school crest, classic v-neck design, simplicity and its very best. Sometimes less is more. 6/10

Some description

6 | Croatia Home - On the subject of distinctive kits they don't come much more unique than Croatia. The famous red and white checks and joined by all red sleeves and we've got a lot of love for the retro number patch on the front. 6/10

Some description

5 | Mexico Home - It's got lightening bolts on it, and that alone earns it a spot in the top 5. It's different and different is good. Mexico didn't play it safe but nor did they go overboard, not too in your face, far from dull. Top effort. 7/10

Some description

4 | France Away - France kits are always beautifully designed and this year was no different. The only thing more handsome than Olivier Giroud in this photo? The France away kit. Elegant horizontal faded stripes on an all white backdrop and a buttoned collar. That'll do nicely. 8/10

Some description

3 | Germany Home - adidas always save special treatment for the Germany shirts. The German brand whipped up another beauty this year with a three-toned chevron design on the chest that held the adidas logo and German crest. Second best adidas kit on show. 9/10

Some description

2 | USA Away - Everyone fell a little bit in love with the US this summer. They're all out attack, risk everything style play was exciting and their 'we're probably not going to win it so let's just give it a proper go' attitude won over a lot of fans. As for the away kit, brilliantly American, just one glance at it makes us want to break into chants of U-S-A. 9/10

Some description

1 | Colombia Home - Admit it, you've been calling all your mates called James Ham-es all World cup haven't you? Not many team's simply go out and enjoy it but Colombia's attitude has been exactly that, work hard, enjoy it and the results will follow. As for the kit, it's bright, eccentric and beautifully South American. 10/10
Honourable mentions to Holland away, France home and Italy away. Agree with our list? Nah, of course you don't, so let us know which 2014 World Cup shirts make your top ten in the comments below.
